A small USB to UART converter board that uses a CH340G chip for USB interfacing. An included jumper can be used to select the modules supply voltage and logic level allowing either 3.3VDC or 5VDC operation. Join the “3V3” and “VCC” pins for 3.3VDC operation, or join the “5V” and “VCC” pins for 5VDC operation. If no jumper is present, the supply and logic levels default to 3.3VDC operation.
Note that we have done some voltage measurements on these particular modules, and although they specify 3.3VDC operation, the measured voltage is closer to 3.6VDC. This applies to the supply level on the “3V3” pin, and the logic levels of the “RXD” and “TXD” pins.
